Maybe keeping two going was just too much. I know the owner said he'd like to retire sometime and he has all daughters none whom are interested in the business. He and his wife were so nice to us. They said they didn't think anyone ever drove 4 hours to eat there before! And we'll do it again this summer. What a treat to get the whole belly clams. Thank you so much for recommending Hayes. Oh, and I'm glad to see they moved the whole thread back here where it should be under Seafood! Then why isn't every food in Cooking Techniques since all food is cooked in a certain way unless it's raw? So maybe we can try again to talk about whole belly fried clams. On the suggestion of another poster, we went to Hayes Seafood House in Clarence NY last summer.&nbsp; They special ordered the clams for us and dare I say they fried them up! They were so delicious, can't wait to go this coming summer again. I miss this forum in Seafood. <br>

RE: Fried Clams (Woo)

I guess this thread is now dead since it got put here.
