We are also lucky to have Dutch Monkey Doughnuts here in the ATL metro area! It's a bit of a haul from Atlanta proper, but well worth it, IMHO. But yes, their doughnuts are pricey. Again, worth it.

Hi Hatteras! Mr. Breakfast is from California, where fancypants doughnuts cost $3.00 - $3.50, so probably wasn't alarmed. That croissant sounds amazing.

I found this place by accident a few years ago when staying in the area. We did a blind hotel priceline bid and got put in a place that was right next door to the Silver Skillet and just down the road from Sublime Donuts. In other words, we hit the roadfood jackpot with that one.

We try and stop here everytime we are in Atlanta because the donuts are great. He did not try my favorite which is probably the simpliest one they make - the glazed croissant. Just straightforward donut glaze on a nice buttery croissant. It's is perfection. I will also mention that the reviewer failed to point out that the donuts there are quite expensive - $1.75 to $2 each. But they are worth it for a once in a while treat.

I haven't personally been here, but I thought some readers might be interested in this. I've been following Mr. Breakfast for several years, and he just posted about his visit to Sublime Doughnuts in Atlanta. If I weren't 3K miles away, I'd go there--they look incredible.
