Happy New Year All-----one week into it!

No longer living in "Taxation Without Representation" Land, the 'burbs are quite the place. In some ways, I do see the great number of chain restaurants and restaurant groups, etc. On the other hand, I've moved to an area with many small establishments, and boy! are they friendly out here in the 'burbs.

My Atkins-esque diet will, no-doubt, shape where and what I order. But so far, I've been able to get some excellent salads, pretty decent buffalo wings, and some nice steaks and fish.

Reports, will come this year. My New Year's resolution, to post the pics and review on my eats in Anne Arundel County, MD. Probably won't report on Canter's though. Unless I'm incredibly inspired and have something new to add to that discussion.

So, Happy New Year. The end of 2012, with a new baby (#2, but daughter #1) and a new home, has made this New Year a truly new start with a new community, new schools, and new restaurants! (And a few "old" ones that we "found" when exploring areas during our house hunts.)

How was the movie? It's a rarity to hear you actually went to the movies!

The movie was my first in a theater in 12 years. I saw The Hobbit and turned around and saw Django Unchained.

Django Unchained was a true Tarintino film, it was great.

Ok What has she done with the curmudgeon??

I do love the birds in winter, I have several titmouses (mices, meeces??) at the feeder this morning, the cardinals were there this afternoon, and a very assertive blue jay.

That sounds delightful. I like a lot of things about California, but I so miss scenes like what you describe.
