Yep, got a car wash gig. No charge to set up, whatever days I choose. Chose Fridays and occasional Saturdays(When I didn't have an event) Those were their busiest days. A good high visibiliy location.
To be honest, maybe 10% of the business was from the car wash.
A month into having this spot they lost their lease and I was kicked out too.
So the spot never really developed. Could have.
People are creatures of habit. Most folks that have their cars washed, do it the same day of the week.And often on their lunch break. Be there with a great Hot Dog Deal and you got a regular customer.
Time is money....Why stand around on yer iPhone when you can be getting lunch outta the way.
So you may get a "Higher End" crowd, who don't balk at prices so much, and sometimes tip better.

I remember that original thread back in August. If JCheese came back with an update, then I missed it. It would be nice to know how it panned out in the long run.

hey joedog, i realized in my recent searches there is an option for how far back your search will go... Just friendly advice from someone who has been in similar shoes.

To answer YOUR question... no i have not. I do try and make a regular appearance at this flea market here in Portland. It's not your typical flea market. It is indoors and has more hand made and artsy stuff than your traditional flea market. I get regular business from the vendors, the shopping crowd is fickle to decent...

if a carwash had regular business it might be worth your while, the employees alone could be worth the stop.
