I suppose I should update this! I purchased bens cash cow and added a bunch of features. I have to trim the fenders down 1/2 an inch but other than that its good to go. its sitting in my yard still on a pallet as the weather has decided it doesnt want to give me the time to assemble it.

TD carts are really good. Dream Maker is top notch as well.> REED & Joel both are fantastic to deal with. Bens carts are not bad carts.. Most standard carts are all the same width i'd like to think, it's kinda a streamline thing. Check with ben again, he's got a few different models and i'm sure that he can modify it to make it fit your needs. they have an entire metal shop they do business out of. Tell him Wild Dog said to ask.

Thank you Fishbilly. I've visited the NJ Dept of Health website and they have a 52 page PDF on health regulations, but it's not well divided as to what applies to mobile units and what does not. I'm also trying to learn if you are allowed to store your cart in a residential garage. Is that were most posting store their cart? I will give the health dept a call to see if there is anything in writing more specific to mobile vendors. But here in NJ...state agencies are usually not super helpful on the phone. lol. oh well This forum is so helpful, I'm so glad I came across it.

How do you find that out? I'm in central NJ and have been doing all the research I can to get this up and running (it seems like a dream haha). I'm starting to make sense of all the rules in NJ and looking at different carts. It seems that the health inspector has to come inspect the cart before you even apply for a license with the county. Do you go by the guidelines posted by state of NJ such as on sink regulations, temps, cleaning etc?

@hellagood yea its the same but bens carts are at 7.5" for a fender width on both sides. By the way i'm a big fan of your stuff! You do great work.

Sillydogz,

In Portland they make an exception of an additional 6" for the wheels. Are you certain that windham doesn't do the same.

IN Portland the size restrictions of the cart are for the box itself and they allow the extra space for the axle/wheel.

@chrisoc i've already contacted the city and state and have all the guidelines. i was all set to order from ben at benscarts.com until i realized his cart wouldn't meet the guidelines. definitely a bummer but it is what it is.

Hey folks, I am currently in the process of getting a cart going for the spring. I have been doing NON stop research of carts and have a few questions. I was all set to go with benscarts.com cash cow but the axle width is too wide for my cities regulations. I am now looking at a couple other models but couldnt find much info as far as peoples experiences go so here's the carts im looking into and was hoping some of you might have some first hand experience with any of them:

Dream Maker - Ventura

hotdogcarts.com - 200 Series

Willydogs - Hummer

I like the layout of the 200 series but have found NO information anywhere regarding peoples experiences.
