(Hepcat)</title><description>  Winnipeg's fabled north end Kelekis Restaurant is closing its doors today after 75 years of operation. Mary Kelekis, the 88 year old daughter of the original owner,&amp;nbsp; just thought it was time to hang up her apron and there was no one to carry on with the business:  &lt;br&gt; &amp;nbsp;  &lt;br&gt; &lt;a href="http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/last-call-for-winnipegs-iconic-kelekis-diner/article7990121/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"&gt;http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/last-call-for-winnipegs-iconic-kelekis-diner/article7990121/&lt;/a&gt;  &lt;br&gt; &amp;nbsp;  &lt;br&gt; &lt;blockquote class="quote"&gt;&lt;i&gt;Globe &amp;amp; Mail&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br&gt;  &lt;br&gt; Ms. Kelekis said the secret was that the food was always of the highest quality and the menu never changed. Families came back year after year, generation after generation, because it was a link to their own past.  &lt;br&gt; &amp;nbsp;  &lt;br&gt; “The fries today are identical; we fry them the same way in the same type of oil. Nothing has changed from those days, and when you do something like that, people appreciate it.
