Would you want this job? (Foodbme)

It's my understanding that for MANY, MANY years, the founders of In-N-Out took a vow NEVER to build a place outside of the state of California. Only after younger family members got control of the company did they start expanding outside CA.
As Michael Hoffman also eludes to, they pride themselves on serving fresh ground meat. Never Frozen! Logistics becomes a factor.
Re:With a track record of short lifes of the past owners... This was of course before they had expanded into Texas but the response I had received from the Denver Post had said simply that Denver is just too far away from Southern California and their distrubition center to have its own In-N-Out Burger. I can somewhat see that since, yes Denver is a bit away from California but then again so is Salt Lake City but yet they have In-N-Out Burger. I'm heading to Colorado next month for a reunion..I think I am going to ask around . Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Re:With a track record of short lifes of the past owners... Would you want this job? (cathyftr)

Actually I am more interested in the "mystery" behind In-N-Out Burger and the city of Denver or even the state of Colorado for that matter.

The reason..OK "reasons" I ask...

*A few years ago in Palm Springs eating at an In-N-Out I had mentioned to my husband .."they should build this in Denver..." only to hear from two complete strangers eating there "..don't you DARE suggest they would build in Colorado...how dare YOU !!. That night telling my sister who at the time had lived in Palm Springs I got this "..PLEASE Cathy..don't suggest In-N-Out to build in Colorado..." My sister never did explain this other than do NOT suggest to anyone that In-N-Out should come to Denver.

Driving back from California to Virginia on I-70 we had Denver's KOA-850 on our radio hearing then overnight dj Rick Barber...In-N-Out was mentioned and dittos..''...don't even think of that chain coming to Colorado.."

A few months ago on one of those theme park websites that I had belong too. A waterpark owner from Utah had bragged about In-N-Out putting in a restaurant near his place in Salt Lake City. In a message I suggested that maybe In-N-Out should put a place in Denver only to get a private message from this person telling me..well nevermind this is a G rated site.

OK after an online search that turned out nothing....what exactly is the reason why In-Out-Burger doesn't like Denver and the state of Colorado to explain this mystery ?? Sounds like a bad episode of The Simpsons !!!!

Re:With a track record of short lifes of the past owners...
