Your URL has to end in .jpg, which your second one did .
You then click on the tree image in the bar of stuff right above the box you're posting in and a window will come up for you to insert that URL, or alternately, you can type [img][/img] insert and accomplish the same thing.

Will someone please tell me how to post pictures on Roadfood? I read a thread from a while back explaining using flicker or photobucket. Do you have to use one of these programs ?

You have over 30 post and have been a member for more than 30 days. You can add pictures now. You need to host your pictures online by using Flickr or some other free image storage site. Then in your post click on the image of the tree in a picture frame to add a link to your picture.

If you use Flcikr and you need to get the link to an image, go to the image and click on share. A drop down will appear with a box that contains the link code. It will say "Grab the HTML/BBCode Copy and paste the code below:". Copy the code in the box, basically you just need the link that looks like "http://farm9.staticflickr.com/1234/<image name>.jpg".
