﻿<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><rss version="2.0"><channel><title>Dried Turkish Figs and Pistachios</title><link>http://www.roadfood.com/Forums/</link><description /><copyright>(c) Roadfood.com Discussion Board</copyright><ttl>30</ttl><item><title>Re:Dried Turkish Figs and Pistachios (fabulousoyster)</title><description>  Put 4 cups of chopped figs in a glass bowl, cover with brandy or any liquor you like.&amp;nbsp; Let it sit for a month.&amp;nbsp; Blenderize the whole thing.&amp;nbsp; Get two boxes of pillsbury &lt;br&gt;  quick bread like date nut or cranberry.&amp;nbsp; In a big bowl: &lt;br&gt;  2 boxes pillsbury quickbread &lt;br&gt;  that 4 cups of blenderized figs and alcoholic beverage &lt;br&gt;  3 eggs &lt;br&gt;  1/2 cup water &lt;br&gt;  1/4 cup veg oil &lt;br&gt;  1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg &lt;br&gt;  1 tsp vanilla or almond essence &lt;br&gt;  1 cup of them pistachios, chop them in a processor not too fine &lt;br&gt;  1 jar of DRAINED marashino cherries, do not chop &lt;br&gt;  Mix it all up by hand with a spoon, pour it into a 12 cup bundt pan greased and floured. &lt;br&gt;  Place in a 325 oven with a pan of water next to it.&amp;nbsp; Bake it for 1 hour to 1 hour 25 minutes till toothpick inserted comes out clean.&amp;nbsp; Let cool completely in pan before turning out to further cool.&amp;nbsp; The pan of water in the oven next to the fruitcake will cook this evenly.&amp;nbsp; Its even better the next day, keep refrigerated. &lt;br&gt;  This is a DELICIOUS fruit cake without all those yuckky citron chips. &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;  </description><link>http://www.roadfood.com/Forums/fb.ashx?m=731715</link><pubDate>Tue, 26 Feb 2013 21:12:58 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>Re:Dried Turkish Figs and Pistachios (Twinwillow)</title><description>  When we had our little vineyard in Healdsburg, we had a HUGE fig tree on the property. &lt;br&gt;  There was more than enough figs on that tree for both us &lt;i&gt;and &lt;/i&gt;the birds. &lt;br&gt;  </description><link>http://www.roadfood.com/Forums/fb.ashx?m=730479</link><pubDate>Sat, 16 Feb 2013 14:31:37 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>Re:Dried Turkish Figs and Pistachios (CCinNJ)</title><description>  A&amp;nbsp;Melanzana! &lt;br&gt;  I live by the water and for some strange reason possums have decided to visit NJ.
