When it's busy, the staff has to stop to make calculations on the adding machine, as they are unable to do it in their head. With living Social, they have to make a phone call, then more calculations, simply not worth it!
Re:Roadfood Restaurants using Groupon (ces1948)

Please tell us what happened that made it a pita?

chewingthefat

CNW

I was surprised today to find that the Groupon of the day in Kansas City was for Niece's. It is the only advertising that I have ever seen them do. I thought that they were doing well enough that they didn't have to resort to Groupon. Do you know of any other Roadfood Restaurants that have used Groupon in the past?

CNW

P.S. If you want to buy one you need to use it within 120 days of purchase.

I fell for it at my place and was damn sorry I did, total PITA, I cancelled quickly!

Re:Roadfood Restaurants using Groupon (ces1948)

One thing I thought was strange was a Groupon for a modest Latin restaurant in West Palm Beach. This place opens at 7am for breakfast and serves all day. The Groupon said reservations were required but I don't think they even take reservations. It made me think they might turn down my coupon if I walked in without a call first. This could be a way to deal with too many coupons at the same time.
Re:Roadfood Restaurants using Groupon (CCinNJ)

A very good current NYC Groupon deal...

http://www.groupon.com/de.s/bobby-van-s-steakhouse
Re:Roadfood Restaurants using Groupon (CCinNJ)

Groupon & LivingSocial both have very good deals in NYC from time to time...

http://mobile.aht.serious...rger-deals-in-nyc.html

Re:Roadfood Restaurants using Groupon (chewingthefat)

CNW

I was surprised today to find that the Groupon of the day in Kansas City was for Niece's.
