We often use that
term refering to the Bama coast.
Re:PLEASE mention city/state in subject lines, when relevant (mayor al)

I think the suggestion is a good one. We should help the reader focus on his/her interests, not steer them down aisles they might otherwise choose to pass by.
I had lived here in the MidWest/South for a number of years before understanding that USC might mean something other than my University of Southern California Trojans! ( U of South Carolina) AND that LA could be a "State" not just a city in California.
The old adage...KISS... applies here. Let's make sure our readers not only understand of what we write...but of WHERE also.
AL

Re:PLEASE mention city/state in subject lines, when relevant (ann peeples)

I think its a valuable concern.. People want to know, and not all of us travel the country. Mr. Stern is given a pass, as he is the God of this site.
Re:PLEASE mention city/state in subject lines, when relevant (Bruce Bilmes and Susan Boyle)

Reviews and Digest posts are different. The headings on reviews always consist of the name of the restaurant and its location. Digest posts usually do not (even the ones written by Michael).
Re:PLEASE mention city/state in subject lines, when relevant (CCinNJ)

I guess that's why you always knew who did it...right from the jump...on Columbo.

Re:PLEASE mention city/state in subject lines, when relevant (Foodbme)

Other Regular posters do the same thing like they think we know who, what and where they're talking about
PLEASE mention city/state in subject lines, when relevant (bartl)

When talking about a specific restaurant, I would greatly prefer if I an idea from the subject line as to where it is, and not have to read half the post/story before getting a clue. Bruce and Susan on the main roadfood.com page are particularly bad about this; 3 of the 6 stories on the front page did not have the location on the topic, and in one (the Eastern Shore Diner), you had to halfway into the notice before you had a clue as to where they were talking about. Note that Michael never has a problem including this info.

Bart
