They may be my favourite ribs.
Just so people who aren't familiar are clear, they slow cook them (Grill would suggest faster, hotter cooking IMO) over a hard wood fire. They're about 2' above the fire.
Here is a video I did: http://youtu.be/r4DEjwl7obQ It's not great since I did it with my phone but it'll give you the idea.

DT
Re:Vote For Best Ribs In The South (Sundancer7)

Roz and I are gonna take a trip to Huntsville to the Dreamland for their ribs perhaps this weekend or the next. They do not smoke their ribs but grills them and the last time we got them hot off the grill, they were great. WSe are looking forward to a 180 mile trip there in the Miata with the top down weather permitting. The sauce is outstanding.

The drive through the grand canyon of Chattanooga is wonderful.

Paul E. I now live in Texas, a wonderful place with many charms, but we ain't The South-not by a long shot.

Archibald's puts out the best rib platter I ever ate. Texas, near The South, also has many fine rib joints, John Mueller Smoked Meat Company is the king around here with 1lb beef ribs that will melt your mind.

http://chowpapi.com/wordp...t-will-melt-your-mind/

Re:Vote For Best Ribs In The South (Davwud)

I voted Big Bobs, Dreamland and Rondezvous.

Golden Rule?? You do get to vote for up to 5. I didn't manage 5 from their list, 'cause they didn't have all of my favourites listed. I did manage to get a vote in for Big Bob Gibson's, tho.
Re:Vote For Best Ribs In The South (Twinwillow)

From the list, I'll go with Smitty's in Lockhart, Texas.
Re:Vote For Best Ribs In The South (ann peeples)

I agree, Al. There are quite a few RF favs listed and a few notable absences, (no Bob Sykes ). So far Corkies is leading the poll. Get your votes in early!

http://thedailysouth.sout...-the-souths-best-ribs/
