How many of you here like salt and vineger chips? I could eat a whole bag. They are the best flavor of chips.

Hello All, Kevanwagner, I like them, but sometimes they are too heavy on the vinegar. I like Herr's brand. Which brand is your favourite? Take Care, and welcome to Roadfood, Fieldthistle

Yes, I love them...but I need a beverage handy when eating them. Herr's and Utz are my favorites.

Salt and vinegar chips are definitely my favorite flavor. They were such a treat when I was a kid when we visited Canada. The Humpty Dumpty brand and Hostess brand were great. When we moved to the US, we couldn't get them here. Now, I can get the Lay's brand here. They are very good but I miss the Canadian brands.

I absolutely love them, but the downside is you can't stop eating them, and then your mouth hurts for 2 days. So I don't eat them very often. But I do like them.

I'm in agreement with Ivsmom....love the chips but they do irritate my mouth after so many of them. The same is true of the BBQ flavored chips, and the Dill Pickle. I do love the Dill Pickle ones also but don't even bother to buy them anymore because of the irritation. I've recently discovered Lay's Stax, similar to Pringles, and their flavored ones are pretty good also. I like the sour cream and chives flavored ones. Also becoming more enamored with the kettle chips....they taste more like potatoes to me than the regular chips. Donna

Yeah, very good. I have spent a lot of time in England where they sprinkle (malt) vinegar on french fries (chips). Athough, I prefer my fries with good old American ketchup.

I like them, but I really like Cracked Pepper and Sea Salt. Both fromZapp's, of course. Does anyone else make potato chips? Rick, not ready to be up!

I love em', Wise brand is my favorite, then Tom's(for B-B-Q also), followed by Lay's. Lay's is my favorite "straight" chip though.

i was surprised that I actually like the Pringles brand of Salt and Vinegar. I don't like Lay's, they're too heavy on the salt and not enough on the vinegar. I used to like Zapps but sometimes you get one with not enough vinegar...it's hit and miss. I like them with a cold Dr. Pepper of Big Red. and yeah, you're mouth is pretty much destroyed after eating a whole canister of them!!!

Whichever ones I can find. Started with Bon Ton. Took a while to get used to. Then Wise, and also found the Pringles, which were nice. Also see Utz, and the kettle cooked sea salt ones by the other brand.

If you look at the back of the bag, most flavored chips, after salt, there are more chemicals than I care to consume. That is what may be irritating to many who posted above. I avoid most flavored chips.

It's odd. I've loved Salt & Vinegar chips since a friend introduced me to them over 20 years ago. But only Lay's. All others are somehow off, either too tart, too weak, or too salty. And other than Salt & Vinegars I think Lay's potato chips are solidly mid-to-bottom tier. My latest fave is Utz Salt & Black Pepper. They make a good dill chip, too, although a little goes a long way. But their Salt & Vinegar, while better than most, doesn't match Lay's.

Kettle also makes a great salt & pepper flavored chip- really like them the best! Never did appreciate the salt & vinegar flavor- and really don't care for the dill flavor on chips- love it on a ton of other things, though!

Mmm, Tim's Cascade salt & vinegar chips are wonderful. An aside, the health food store here carries these chips that are amazing, one is rosemary and olive oil, the other is fine herbs. I could eat a whole bag of any of those three. :)
