I had the honor and privilege of meeting and breaking bread with Seafarer John and Gail at the Connecticut Meet-Up in 2008. He always had a kind word and his comments on my Trip Reports always brought a smile to my face. You are missed, good sir!

Wow, this is no way to end my Saturday night. So sad to hear this, my condolences to Gail and family. I first met John in April of 2007 at a Hot Dog GTG that started in Middletown NY (when I first met several other RF people too). After that tour ended I got to know John & his wife a little bit better when he offered to lead me by car to the Brewpub in New Paltz for a beer or two. We crossed paths a few other times after that, always a pleasure. What amazed me the most was that he was in his late 70's at the time and appeared so much younger, not only in looks but just, in, I don't know, Joy of Life I guess. You will be missed, John.

Dear Michael, Your words are appreciated and the photos wonderful. Is it possible to get a hard copy of that photo to us for 3/29 gathering of friends? I do appreciate any help. 10 Lincoln Place New Paltz, NY 12561 Thank you for your consideration on this matter. Very sincerely, Gail Logan

I had the opportunity to share a meal with John and Gail during the President's Day Weekend 2008. They came over to Mexico Beach and met with a group of us at Killer Seafood. Then I met up with them again on Sunday for Lunch in Mobile. This is how I will always remember my friend, good food, and a smile on his face. Gail, I will keep you and the family in my thoughts and prayers. CajunKing Donald

Gail, So sorry to just learn about John's passing. My dad passed away on March 20, so I have been a bit out of it. What great times we shared eating crabcakes in Baltimore, and way too many hot dogs in Jersey. I'll also miss his advice on where to go in St. Pete. I wish only wonderful memories of John for you and your family.
