Webster's Fish Hook in Northampton, MA. At the foot of the exit 19 ramp off I-91. Fabulous (mostly fried) seafood.

It depends how far you want to stray ...

Nick's Nest in Holyoke. You can do that anytime, it is so close.

      Save appetite for Northampton.
Fancy dinner: (have it at the Bar) at Del Raye ($$-$$$)
More bistro-ish (most popular place in town) at Spoletto ($$)
Pizza or general Italian at Joe's ($)
... all open 5-ish weekday, Joe's is open for lunch weekends (sometimes)
Breakfast at Jake's across from the hotel (-$)

New rib-joint in town Cecil's was viable (at least they are open for lunch) service can be a little slow.

Vegitarian at Paul & Elizabeth's at Thorne's is as good as it gets. (luch and dinner) ($$)

... you can roll down your window and ask anybody where any of these places are.

Stray to North Amherst lunchtime and go to Harp's for their Chicken/Mushroom/Leek pie ($)

Northward, I've never found anything in Greenfield worth using up appetite for.

In Brattleboro, there is a rib joint north of town I was tempted to try (Hilltop?) but can't vouch for.

Veracruzana has good Mexican street food in Northampton, but for something different, try Holy Smokes BBQ in Hatfield. Exit 21 off 95, and go north a little. You won't regret it http://www.holysmokesbbq.com/index2.htm

We were disappointed in Curtis' BBQ recommended by the Stern's, but it may have been a bad night.

I cannot recommend the Chelsea Royal diner on Route 9 in West Brattleboro highly enough, especially for breakfast. Dinners are good too, and it's a true Roadfood place.
