Hostess Blueberry Fruit Pies

Hi there! I'm from San Francisco and wouldn't you believe it, they don't sellHostess Blueberry Fruit Pies out here! So I was wondering if anyone out there would have access to some "fresh from the store". I would love to surprise some friends who believe these pies "don't exist anymore". Can anyone help out?

I can send them to you, but the shipping will be much more expensive for you than the pies are. The pies are currently costing about $1.05 to $1.10 each, unless I can get some with decent expiration dates at the Bakery Outlet Store, where they would be about half that price. However, DHL Second Day shipping to you (I am in Illinois and you are in DHL's Zone 7 from here) will cost about $40 for 10 or 12 pies. I individually wrap the pies in bubble wrap and so far have had no complaints of breakage when I have shipped to Roadfooders in Florida and Ontario, Canada. Currently we have Blueberry available (I saw some in a store just last week), but it is a flavor they rotate with Peach and Strawberry, so it is not always available at all times. there are websites that sell chocodiles, fruit pies, etc...it might be a bit cheaper and quicker...just google chocodiles and I know these online grocers also carry the pies

If you notice this thread started in 2005 and they were available in Illinois then (and I shipped them to Roadfooders on the east coast and Canada).  However, they are no longer available here at all.  In fact, I checked less than a week ago (since Blueberry was my favorite flavor) at the Hostess Outlet Store right across the street from the Butternut Bakery, and was told they no longer are made anywhere.  The current flavors we have available are Apple, Cherry, Lemon and Chocolate, and at certain times of the year Strawberry and Peach are available (but not right now).

Your search seems bleak starraven. Hostess discontinued Blueberry in 2009 (I believe thats the year) and now that Hostess went belly up again,,,,,,
