I'm reading Anne Frank's diary at the moment, because I never read it at school or anything!

It's weird reading it as an adult, I think I'd definitely feel differently about things if I were younger. Interesting read though, historically speaking, the rest is much like I imagine any other diary of a 13 year old girl to be.

A wonderful gentleman opened three huge bookstore in Los Angeles and Long Beach.  Every book in all three stores are only $1 each whether hard back, paper back or brand new.  It was always his dream to be able to afford everyone books to read.  Wish I knew his name because he's a hero.

I picked up eight Stewart Woods brand new hard back books.

Many years ago I read his Palindrome and loved it.

I'm now reading Beverly Hills Dead.

Can't wait to go back there and buy the rest of his books.  I will donate back those I've finished reading.

You are a kind heart. Did you ever make it back? Hope you did. Small local businesses need our support! Keep on reading, girl!

OK, whoever brought up Stuart Woods and Stone Barrington..don't know whether to love you or hate you!  Already on # 3 (reading them in order) and got 4-7 waiting on my Nook.  Because they are "old" they are cheap, but ya cost me at least 2 good RF meals!  Actually, Propping up the Nook up while scoffing down a burger and beer someplace ain't so bad either

I agree. Read Inferno about a month ago. And while not as good as the earlier books, it still was an exciting read...and having been to Florence several times,I could visualize the action so easily. Fond memories! Enjoyed the Dante slant, also. Learned a lot.

My sister is reading Inferno, too, and loves it!  She thinks it's too scary for me, though, and I believe her, as I'm a wimp.

I just finished my first Stuart Woods, New York Dead, which is the first of the Stone Barrington series (I think?).

Before that I read The Brethren, by John Grisham, which I thought was great fun.

I'm just starting Eye of the Needle, by Ken Follett.

How did you like Eye of the needle, I liked it..............

"Mary Coin" by Marisa Silver.  Fictional tale imagining the backstory of one of the famous photos of migrant workers taken by Dorothea Lang in the 1930's. Interesting.

Just started The Black Box by Michael Connelly. It's a Harry Bosch novel, but I'm about 60 pages in and not convinced yet.

Flynn's last novel that he was working on, The Survivor originally slated to be out this November was "suspended indefinitely" according to the publisher. Evidently it might not have been completed enough to edit and release or they are still trying to sort Flynn's contingency to have it released. They did not go so far to say it would never be published and made that clear.
