The Pierogi Palace on West Grand Avenue,Rahway,NJ - serve great homemade pierogi, I had the potatoe and cheddar cheese and they were some of the best I've tasted. They have at least 16 different combinations as well as other Polish favorites such as stuffed cabbage/peppers,potatoe pancakes and Kielbasa & Sauerkraut. Call ahead to find out what is available that day, their phone # is 732-499-8411. Small store but worth the trip, voted as one of the best by the Star Ledgers Munchmobile.

We are making a 'Trick or Treat Weekend' trip up to see our family in Baraboo,WI this weekend. In the past we have used the I-39 to avoid congestion in Chicago and Milwaukee and to speed up the drive. This time we will do some Xmas shopping in the Amish villages in Northern Indiana on Thursday. Then Friday, we'll go thru Chicago (no time for a Freddies Stop or Czech food ). We will test the Polish food in Milwaukee with some friends, then get out into the countryside to Baraboo for the weekend. poverty Pete has sent me a list of stuff to pick up for him at the Usinger's store downtown! Our friends are going to 'Surprise' us with their choice of restaurants for the dinner...since I know little about Milwaukee, or about Polish food, I am looking forward to the experience with great anticipation !! We'll report back upon our return.

Welcome, I spent some time in Garden City NY and I know what it means to miss national food. Now, as I came back to Poland I think I can help you and send some of your beloved food items. Vacuum packed food such as kabanosy, dry kielbasa as well as other specialties from our best producers will surely be ok after 3 days, providing they're well packed and sent via UPS. I even planned to open an on-line store. I think for larger orders I may try to balance the price vs. shipment cost (awfully high), so both sides are satisfied. Tell me what you think about it, and PM me or email if you plan an order. BR Peter
