That's about 4 or 5 MILLION Turkeys!!

Yes, it is. And I always have worried about ground turkey as a food service person-nothing good comes out of making some crap into something. In no way is any altered turkey product good for you.Always more sodium, additives, etc...we are better off with ham, bologna, etc...

I've always bought the Honeysuckle White 97/3 ground turkey and the breakfast sausage - the spouse could always tell the difference and would comment that it was okay - but....not as good as the real thing.
 
Now that this has happened the spouse is very happy that there will be no more ground turkey products purchased.

Hells Bells all of this makes me afraid to go to the grocery!   But, many thanks for the updates.  Nobody wants to get sick or worse!

 
How to delete posts:
In a long box along the bottom of each of my posts are the words "Mark post as helpful", "Foreward message", "Manage message" and "Edit message".  I click on "Manage message" and up comes a large square box saying "Delete this message" with a small box below it with the word  "Reason".  I type in "old" in the small box, and right below this is a little garbage can followed by the words "Send this message to recycle bin".  I click on the garbage can and close the large square box (upper right-hand corner X).  And that is it. 
 

It worked!  Now you can delete these last few and it will be good if you'd like.

Probably that shouldn't make me laugh, but I am surrounded by people who treat me like I am the anti-christ because I don't eat certified organic vegetables.

The Kilwins thing was on the news tonight. They're recalling fudge sold for the last YEAR. As if anyone who bought it longer ago than this afternoon has any left!

What is it with Yuppie items and salmonella lately?

It is need to test gluten content in the food and Gluten considered as very important one. In some food item glutens content will be more.

I do recall that, when walnut pesto first started to be made, a friend of mine, badly allergic to walnuts, had to leave a wedding because she just assumed the pesto was made with pine nuts, so I know that it is a serious omission. On the other hand, Black Bear (the Shoprite premium deli brand) tends to be reasonably high quality, so I'm glad it's a labeling problem and not t a quality issue (like listeria or e coli).

OK, that one hits home. I am slightly allergic to walnuts (they make my mouth itch), so I always check the ingredients on brownies for walnuts before I will bite into one.

For those who are scratching their heads, apparently there are Andy Capp's Cheddar Fries mislabeled as Hot Fries, with the ingredient, soy, to which many people are allergic, left unmentioned. Although, frankly, selling Cheddar Fries as Hot Fries alone calls for a recall.

LOL Bart.   I'm also wondering about these blue plastic balls--I hope they're obvious, because I pitch the bag as soon as I empty my flour into my plastic storage bin, so would have no way of checking out production numbers.

Their BBQ chips are THE BEST, the deeper in the bag you go the redder the chips get and the heat level increases
