Tom, Me Too ! Now I admit that's probably better than doing a 2 liter of soda or a 40 oz beer... but the sodium level in V8 is pretty high, so I try to limit my intake a bit !!

We, too, like the little cans.Bob got real sick of eating raw carrots and celery while he is driving truck. And these were much more convenient in his cool pack. But than again, his blood pressure is so low that sodium isnt a problem for him. I did try the low sodium V-8 on him, and he said never again!!!

Both are good, but tomato juice is superior.

I actually prefer the low sodium V-8 over the regular....still relatively high in sodium (140 mg per 8 oz). Someone mentioned that Clamato has a lower sodium content than V-8.....sorry, it has an ASTRONOMICAL sodium content of 870 mg per 8 oz.

Used to be low sodium V8. A while back I had way too many tomatoes and thought they'd turn before I got to them - so juiced them. Now it's freshly juiced tomatoes!

I love V-8 regular but now that I have to be on a low sodium diet, I drink V-8 Low Sodium. Sure, the regular V-8 tastes better but, I'm used to the low sodium version now and have no problem drinking it. Besides, it's got a ridiculously high amount of potassium in it and, that's a good thing! I buy the smaller 5oz. cans by the case at Costco.

Another old thread revival I don't think I ever responded to. I drink Trader Joe's Low Sodium Garden Patch which is a V8 knockoff with better taste and tang, IMO.

ann peeples Good to know, Davydd-have a Trader Joe's right by my work. Love that place. They're coming to a neighborhood near me in the fall of this year. Already open in the Dallas suburb of Plano which is about 15 miles north of me and also in Ft. Worth 30 odd miles from me. But the new TJ's opening close to me in the fall is going to be only 5 minutes away. Can't wait!
