iNDEPENDENT FOOD CART OWNERS ASSOCIATION

Ok the face book page is open it is under IFCOA, It is not intended to detract from this site, but presents a forum for discussion of the political implications of our industry, and what we may do about them. It is free and open to all, and that includes not only owners but fans of food carts, and there are millions. If we can get the numbers we can get the changes we need. ok gotta go to my little corner cyaltr.

It doesn't seem to be showing up in Facebook search yet, when you get a chance can you post a direct link to the page? Thanks!

I'm not very good with a computer, I think you might have to go to my fce book page and access it from there, go to facebook then search jericopapers@yahoo.com it will link to IFCOA, obviously one of the first things we need is a web savy member to volinteer.

Ya, Florida laws are wacked. IFCOA would be welcome IMHO. We have a guy running a rib stand north of here in Magnonia Park. Been there 5 years, on his own property and everything's been good until lately. All of a sudden they want him out of his stand and into a brick and mortar setup (on his property). A neighbor of mine said the locals where complaining of the smoke, but doubt this would change in a B&M setting. My guess is the local tax man is hungry to tap his profits. The hearing is tonight on to renew his business license, but here's a story from a couple weeks ago (including video): http://www.wptv.com/conte...KP-qky-Skk8N3tIZA.cspx Was looking for updates to this story, but found an older one on McCray's BBQ: http://www.palmbeachpost...._mccrays_bbq_0201.html

I looked at the story, any one who dosent thing we need to organise needs to read this story, you could well be next. I couldn't find a web sight for this fellow carter, or an e-mail address but it may well be too late for him. I have posted a proposed letter to the FLDH asking definition of some common questions, and their foundation. it is posted on the facebook site any suggestions or additions would be helpfull. see it at www.bit.ly/IFCOA THANKS m.c. wIER

Actually is The National Food Cart Owners Association and it's a paid membership site and has applied for it's 501(c) Non Profit certs. It has an abundance of resources, a forum and Haccp templates & excel forms to help food vendors become more successful. Not to mention a discount page with various suppliers for food & what not. They are actually working with FLIP insurance to offer a member discount of 10% off of their already low $299 liability insurance program. We don't advertise or spam. It's worth checking out though. if you are interested, it's www.nfcoa.org

So did you you beat up your old friend "Old Dude" and take his web site. Can't say I would blame you! Going to the site, they just don't give one enough info to drop $30-$50 to join. You need to show more or offer a temporary membership or something.
