        Whole baby clams!
        That looks exceptional.
Please don't be insulted when I return the bowl back with all of the celery lining the bottom of the bowl.  Everything else will be gone!

Yeah..minus the celery and maybe an addirtion of some smoked bacon or Linguica and that would make me swoon.  Thank gawd You know how to make "proppa Chowdah" and not tomato soup with clams added!

              Very nice CTF!

I spent the day outside in breeze and cold putting up the lights on our town tree.

I will take a gallon right now to get warm.

From the pics it does appear that way, but it's not as thick as it appears, it definitely got body though!

What are you talking about? Tomatoes? New England Clam Chowder is Cream, Long Island Clam Chowder, tomatoes.

Long Island? That's a New One on me. I thought it was called Manhattan. Nonetheless, I like both kinds.

Hey Bill, I always had Manhattan clam chowder in Connecticut, When I came to Washington State they only had white............For a real clam broth taste there is nothing like Manhattan clam chowder.................

Chewy, have you considered writing a cookbook? I would be glad to partner with you on it. I have a collection of soup recipes I developed over the years, most from leftovers. Never have done anything with them but everyone loves all of them.
By the way, we lived in Frederick for four years. Used to pass your place to get to York. Now I am constantly kicking myself for not stopping in. Never realized the food would be so great, as it obviously is. Why don't you open a branch down here?

Chef, wish you had stopped in, maybe you could be the branch owner in Fla. now!
As far as a cookbook I never really thought about it, I do love dreaming up soups and dishes I'ne never seen anywhere but I know would taste great, my shortcoming though is how to explain a personal portion recipe for a cookbook. Thanks for the kind words!

Was stationed in New London for years and ate clam chowder all up and down the eastern seaboard (i will not eat the red stuff) yours looks truely exceptional. Can't get none of that here in Texas unless it's from a can.
