Whole baby clams! That looks exceptional. Please don't be insulted when I return the bowl back with all of the celery lining the bottom of the bowl. Everything else will be gone!

Long Island? That's a New One on me. I thought it was called Manhattan. Nonetheless, I like both kinds.

Hey Bill, I always had Manhattan clam chowder in Connecticut, When I came to Washington State they only had white............For a real clam broth taste there is nothing like Manhattan clam chowder.................

Chewy, have you considered writing a cookbook? I would be glad to partner with you on it. I have a collection of soup recipes I developed over the years, most from leftovers. Never have done anything with them but everyone loves all of them. By the way, we lived in Frederick for four years. Used to pass your place to get to York. Now I am constantly kicking myself for not stopping in. Never realized the food would be so great, as it obviously is. Why don't you open a branch down here? Janet

Janet Chef, wish you had stopped in, maybe you could be the branch owner in Fla. now! As far as a cookbook I never really thought about it, I do love dreaming up soups and dishes I'ne never seen anywhere but I know would taste great, my shortcoming though is how to explain a personal portion recipe for a cookbook. Thanks for the kind words! Tom

janachen wow...looks delicious..can you share to us your recipe?...i really want to learn how to cook... Onions carrots, green pepper, liquified, chopped celery, chicken broth, idaho potato, bacon, whole clams, whole cream or 1/2 & 1/2, creme sherry, clam juice, thyme, pepper, lobster base, simmer all together, adjust as necessary till the potatoes are a go, don't be shy with the amount of clams.

Dude, you went all out! Great picture and I'm sure it is as delicious as it looks. Have you tried to put a few drops of fish sauce in your chowder. It does wonders for ours.

Mr Chewy---how can you afford to supply Harry Winston spoons ? But with a chow-dar (please use Maine accent when talking about chow-dars) that thick and Good-Lookin' a Winston Spoon would be appropriate. By the way Harry was the Diamond King----my old buddy Paul Revere made the silverware. Sign me up for the cook book---send a autographed copy so that it will escalate in value. I will leave it to my kids in my will. "Le Soup de Chewy" hits NYTimes best seller list for 14th consecutive week. Bon Appetit !!!!!!!!!!!!! RIP Julia.

Did you ever get the kimchi from Cosmos? Ed, got it at an Asian market in Frederick Md., it's really good on the pulled pork, but most folks are afraid to try it, they don't know what they are missing!

The Cookbook is currently in printing, 3500 pages, weighs 75 lbs. pics recipes, social philosophy, directions to everywhere and everything, cute baby names, odd things that have happrned here...a little for everyone. I'll sign a copy and Yellow freight it to you along with a Dolly, so you can move it around...all for $19.95, but WAIT, THERE'S MORE...
