What are some good places in Los Angeles. I know LA has some good Mexican food. I want to know your favorites so I can visit :)

When I've visited, I've liked El Cholo (don't know what neighborhood) and El Arco Iris in Highland Park.

The original El Cholo is on Western near I10. During the right months you can get excellent green corn tamales. Theoretically (with the magic of freezing) the green corn tamales could be served all year long but El Cholo guarantees a few months of good business by limiting the time available.
The have another location on Wilshire Bl in Santa Monica.
I find the rest of their food good, but not outstanding.

I personally enjoy "El Taurino". It's off of West Olympic Blvd, a bit past Vermont. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but hey, the food is delicious
