Last year, I wore a casual short-sleeved button-down shirt and felt adequately dressed, but the more distinguished guests wore sport coat and tie or the feminine equivalent. I would recommend that you not wear anything so formal that you couldn't eat crawfish without fearing for your clothes.

I echo Ralph's statements. "Smart Casual" might be the right phrase.

Thanks for the reply = ) I have a dress that is not to fancy , but cute ,, I wanted to wear ,, Just didnt wanna be over dressed, but I think I might get away with it, if I decide to wear it = ) I might pass on the crawfish that night = ) Nikki

My own question for the kickoff party: when could we get in to the Southern Food and Beverage Museum? I'd like to peruse the museum in the late afternoon, before the party.

I may not have been clear. The description of the kickoff party says "Admission to the museum is included in the price of a ticket". So I don't really mean "when can I enter the museum", I mean "when can I enter the museum without paying for another museum admission?"
