bb, Where in Chicago did you get Bananas Foster? And yeah, if you want to learn about ballot stuffing, always ask an expert. AHI MPLS, That sounds like genius. I wonder if anyone has already put that on a menu. Buddy

Milwaukee's Coquette Cafe, just up the road from Buddy's neck of the woods, has had a bananas foster bread pudding on offer for the past few weeks as part of a special New Orleans menu. For the poll, I struggled between beignets and bread pudding: I haven't had bananas foster at Brennan's, but the versions I've had over the years have just been too gooey, goopy, and sweet. I prefer warm, melt-in-your-mouth beignets with a light dusting of sugar, or a not-too-sweet bread pudding that's chunky and light, not mushy and compact. Perhaps bread pudding made with beignets would be a good compromise! I ultimately chose beignets for their simplicity.
