West Coast Tacos

Finally got to try West Coast Tacos in Indy last weekend. Their truck was parked just outside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway race weekend. Wow, tidy little morsals of love. Think they jacked their prices up a bit for the race, 3 for $7, but they were indeed the real thing.

Silly me...I thought this topic was about tacos ON the West Coast...not someplace east of Denver... HINT: if you want a REAL taco, on the West Coast, you have to drive west of RENO (NV) ... PS...3 tacos for $7 is a good price...

Article in todays Indy Star about all the new food trucks in town. I got to get up there and check some of these out. And asI stated in the original post, the DID jack there prices up on race weekend. Their price is usuallyl 3 for 5 bucks.

Actually the best fish tacos are in Los Angeles, but you have to drive east of Reno to get there.

1bbqboy facts are pesky things, aren't they? http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0001796.html On another note. If you look at the L & L for the great wine estates(1st Growths)of France, they match up with the Rog Valley.

Next thing you know, it'll be next door to Buckeye AZ! Possibly...it all depends on how pretty the ladies are... If you look at the LONGETUDE lines, Reno IS West of La La Land... Looks can be deceiving depending on what TYPE of map you're looking at (Mercator or Ployconic Projection)... And to be sure, ALL of them ARE most certainly West of Elko (Home of the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering every January - you really have to want to go there, in order to go there - the cold January weather filters out the less than dedicated)

monicakendle On a more important note how can a cinnamon bun be considered a taco? Besides being spam, the poster may not have ever actually seen a REAL taco... For that matter, how can the things they serve at Taco Belch be considered a taco...??? My pet peeve about fast food places in general is that the food served looks nothing like the pictures in the menus and ads on TV... (yes, there are times when fast food is the only thing available late at night when on the road)...

I'll add a bit of info on your pet peeve....I did movie catering for years, worked on lots of commercials. I remember a KFC commercial that lasted 4-5 days, the food stylists had I would guess 10-15 sheet pans of chicken brought to the set each day, looking for the perfect piece of chicken to use for camera, and then they would still Dr it up. Same with any food product, funny to watch them go through cases of chips and cereal looking for the perfect ones. Mickey D's has a fully functioning store in the greater LA area that is not open to the public, and is used only for commercials.....you should see the team of food stylists working in that kitchen!
