I like them with salt and malt vinegar. If I am having the fries with a hot roast beef sandwich, then I really enjoy them with gravy.

salt, for sure. Ketchup is almost a must. If at a brewpub, good malt vinegar is oftern available. I'm definitely not among those who use ranch dressing....my wife does that for a special treat. (for her only) blech.

Nigerian Peppa sauce... a very hot but flavorful blend of a local red pepper, garlic and oil.

I do twice fried fries (frites Belgium style) and I like to experiment with each batch. Sometimes horseradish, ketchup, hot sauce, gravy, plain, BBQ sauce or anything else I can think up. Sometimes it is a bust but so what, I can always make more. Paul E. Smith KNoxville, TN

Salt, pepper, Heinz Ketchup, and (if available) malt vinegar. (One of the many reasons I am a fan of Five Guys - they provide malt vinegar). One of the tastiest things I've ever had on fries is Sauce Bearnaise - the "ketchup" of Denmark. When we go to a steakhouse here in Dallas, that is my "potato" of choice.

Personally salt...maybe ketchup. My daughter likes to dip hers into a vanilla shake. I have a good friend at work who orders fries and mashed with gravy...she dips her fries into the mashed with gravy...its pretty good.

Ok, I found this guy on youtube, he made me laugh so much I subscribed to his channel. Shopdogsam . This vid about a french fry dip is mind boggling, would anyone try this? He mixes marshmallow cream and yellow mustard. Hopefully I can post this link. http://www.youtube.com/wa...BCC1F7BD9&index=72

We've got a place in Dallas that sprinkles finely chopped fresh garlic and parsley over their (excellent) fries. They're fantastic. Especially with their garlic laced creamy Italian dipping sauce. ATT: MetroplexJim: Farnatchi is 2 doors down from Fadi's in Knox Village. And they're BYOB! http://www.farnatchi.com/Farnatchi_Home.html

I'll bring a quart of Coors Light; as you know, Mrs. Metro - ( despite and even though she wasn't allowed to drive until she came to the U.S. for grad school!) - is the perfect "designated driver". She'll be having water, no ice.

For most of my life, I enjoyed them either on their own, with ketchup, malt vinegar, sometimes mayonnaise. In November, 2011, though, I discovered Disco Fries...

Salt & Pepper on the fries. I am finally at the point when I can resist the urge to scream STOP when I see people putting any kind of sauce on fries. Progress. With fries a hollandaise or sauce from Mr. Peter Luger works.

I just happen to be eating leftover fries this AM for breakfast! Covered in lemon pepper - YUM. But I also like ketchup, ketchup mixed with mayo, ranch, any kind of cheese sauce, chili.

There's a new trend of coating french fries with some kind of a batter. The only thing this accomplishes is reducing my intake of french fries. I love fries, but won't eat them "coated". It's just awful.

While my usual fry coating of choice is malt vinegar and ketchup, I've also enjoyed them with Salsa Golf and even hummus and tahini, (when I lived in Israel). I'm willing to try almost anything, if it adds to the flavour.

A mixture of Cholulu, mayo, ketchup and some salt. Thats all. The best fries I ever had was in Germany, France and Belgium. They were twice fried and that is the way I always do them now. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN
