El Cielito ,new restaurant in Cibolo,Tx Mon, 11/14/11 9:53 AM (permalink)
There is a new mexican place opening in Cibolo called El Cielito according to the City of Cibolo website.
I'll post a review for locals when it does open. However, don't you think that's kind of a foolish move, after all, right there is La Cabana and La Tortilita mexican restaurants right there. In fact it sits next to FM78 right in front of La Cabana which sits further back on the banks of Cibolo Creek  in the old Pat's Place South.
Maybe it will be something else, maybe cuban or puerto rican food, since the old Mei Keni in Universal City is now serving cuban food, according to their sign.

Doesn't have to be a different country.  There are all kinds of Mexican cuisine depending on what region of the country it comes from....

    Examples:  Oaxacan, Michoacan, Yucatan.

Northern Mexican is much different than Southern Mexican.

Do you have any Mariscos type Mexican restaurants in the area?  I love Mexican seafood restaurants.  You can get wonderful fish and shrimp dishes.

Mar52, one of the ladies I work with mentioned the place and they call it Cielito Station,I guess because it is across from the railroad tracks. San Antonio has one, maybe two Marisco places in town, not sure where exactly.
Oh I know the different regions of Mexico have food variations. What struck me is they just built this one next to two others. They spent a lot of money on the building. I hope they get enough business.
