I never ate at Spud's (not a seafood fan), but my band at the time played a couple times at the bar next door... used to be called the Lakepointe I think, not sure if it's still there or under a different name.

I have found in many cases the fried cod to be much better than the Halibut. The fresh halibut is to die for, the frozen can be dry and tasteless when fried........Great report.......thanks..................pnwc

Only brought this up because trudy and I stopped at some of these places during our visit to see the King Tut exhibit in Seattle. Countryside Donuts in Mountlake Terrace was wonderful, Mighty O Donuts had wonderful organic donuts and Spud Fish and Chips was jut as wonderful on my second visit. Rereading this brought back memories and provided great photos of road food in a wonderful city

Trudy and I did make it to Chandler's Crabhouse. Liked the crab louie and the nice waiters, loved the view. Too pricey for my taste but I did have an excellent wasabi bloody Mary and enjoyed the escape from the wet and cold.
