WHAT took them so long? That was the WORST excuse of food I've ever seen. I gave it two or three tries, several years between. Taco Bell is fine dining compared to Henry's. At least you can eat Taco Bell. Look into the window at Henry's and there are stacks and stacks of preformed corn taco shells... stale corn taco shells. They fill them with some sort of greasy goo that sorta resembles meat, a few fresh (Maybe this is the good part) tomatoes, finely shredded yellow cheese and a sort of tomato sauce. Disgusting! I never understood why they were still in business. Repeat customers couldn't be fueling their success. Must have been the neighborhood kids that didn't know any better.

It's happening again. CBS has been taunting me all morning with hints that Henry's had met it's demise.... news at 11. Wrong! CBS lies! There is now a neighborhood petition being signed to prevent the landlord from forcing out the tenant. Guess the underlying neighborhood wish is for no mega-structure on that lot. They're all citing the Googie Sign as their reason. A sign can be moved. (Ghastly food!!!)

Wow, you scared me there for a minute.i thought you were talking about Henry's Puffy Tacos in San Antonio.Wew,that's a relief. They sponsor the San Antonio Mission baseball team, and the team's mascot is what else, a guy dressed up like a puffy taco. As someone said the sign and even the building can be moved. It might be they aren't making that much money,so the landlord's trying to get rid of them. As far as I know most mexican places in town fry their own tortillas to make taco shells. You have to use a tortilla made of fresh masa and fry it,to get it to puff up.You can't use a preformed one, won't work. You do wonder sometime how some of these restaurants with horrible food stay in business.
