Now you can create your own Roadfood Logbook

I am pleased to announce that Roadfood Insiders now have the ability to create their own logbooks. To access this feature click on one the “Submit a review” or “Submit Content” links on the site and then select or add your restaurant. Once a restaurant is selected, click on the “Add/Edit Logbook” link on the publisher menu to add a logbook entry. Afterwards, clicking on the various tabs will enhance your logbook entry by enabling you to rate the food items and add photos.

One very important point – You will notice an additional selection option on the places where you have a publishing status option. This new option is called “Logbook”. When you are creating a logbook entry be sure to use that as your publishing status. Selecting the “Submit for Approval” assumes you want to content to be added for everyone to see on the site and subject to my review. If it isn’t the highest level of quality and Roadfood worthy then it will be deleted. So please use the “Logbook” publishing status unless you feel confident about your ability of getting published on the site.

Will feedback be provided if a review that has been submitted for approval is deleted?

Hopefully so, because people do a fair amount of work writing these reviews. It may not be totally clear to many people what Roadfood worthy means.

Due to the volume of requests that I receive for people submitting content, I am unable to provide specific feedback as to why a review does not make it. As long as the persons review is written in a similiar manner as the 1,000 others on the site, then it is usually not deleted. The requirements are more clearly defined during the publishing process.

Many thanks for adding this feature, Stephen; it's one of the things I most wanted for my Insider money. I stumbled several times, and you'll get some of those mistakes, but I think I've about got it deciphered. My biggest hangup was that I didn't stick to the "Logbook" option, nevermind that your instructions were clear! What I really want to accomplish is to have a database for the restaurants that we've enjoyed, and I have no desire to get a review published here. Oh, well...live and learn. Thanks again...

Will Logbook entries be visible only to the person posting them, or will they be visible to all Insider subscribers?

They will be to all Roadfood insiders if you choose to publish it.

Stephen, how do I delete a logbook entry? By mistake, I've made several duplicare entries for the same location,and need to delete all but one of them. Thanks....

I am currently working on that, and I need to test it to make sure it doesn't delete TO much information.

I just signed up and see I can read entries by restaurant, or read my own logbook. But can I access other member's logbooks?

Yes, they appear in the search results as long as they enabled the option for it to be viewed by others.

Maybe I'm searching incorrectly, but suppose I just want to see entries by, say, Bushie for example. Can I access his logbook without having to search individual restaurants? I tested it by putting someone's name who has entries in under search keyword and that didn't work

I'm late to this, but I don't see the "Add/Edit Logbook" button.
 
Also, in my Insider profile it says I have eaten at 0 Roadfood-approved restaurants.
That is not true but I don't know how indicate which ones I have visited unless I write a complete review.

The logbook went away a few years ago.
I am stuck at 105 restaurants. Wish it would come back! 
 
Any chance you could pull my list of the 105 I have visited?
