Well, we shall celebrate it tomorrow as it is my daughter in laws birthday and she has requested a blueberry pie AND a double lemon frosted cake..............along with a roast chicken and roasted vegetables! I guess that I will be stuck in the kitchen all day.

Sorry to let you down lleechef, but I went pieless yesterday. But, it wasn't for the lack of trying. My two best local sources were already sold out by dinner time. Apparently, national pie day is a bigger deal than expected. I will make it up to you tonight. We are driving to DC and plan on hitting Weaver's in Hancock, MD. My favorite there is the graham cracker pie. Any chance you and Michael celebrated with some pie?

What? No pie? You should have at least two pieces of graham cracker pie to make up for yesterday's void!
Sorry, but Michael and I did not have pie yesterday. Do homemade chocolate chunk cookies count? No? I didn't think so. Enjoy your weekend in DC and eat pie!

kaszeta- Beautiful! lleechef- No, the cookies don't count, but if you made them, then you still made a fine choice. While everyone else is sightseeing in DC, I am also hoping to sneak away and hit Dangerously Delicious Pies.

I didn't think the cookies would count even though I made them.
I looked at Dangerously Delicious Pies and how are you going to choose which one? The Baltimore Bomb? Be sure and tell us.
