I had a fabulous "jalapeño limeade" in a Vietnamese restaurant in NYC. So I made it at home and am now addicted. Wow! I hear they also put jalapeno beer. Great for summer! Comments, ideas?

Sounds good to me but I am surprised you didn't discover this in New Mexico!

A number of years ago I tried a chile-infused beer that was just awful. I can't remember the name but it feels like it's been a long time since I've seen such a product in the stores, so it might not even be made anymore.

Years ago I sold a Margarita Mix made by the Ass Kickin company. It had sass! I noticed a lot of the shops in Old Town Albuquerque sold their products.

I forgot, they sometimes put a small dash of powdered red chile in hot chocolate. Mmmmm

At Salt of the Earth, I had a drink made with thai chili, basil, lime, and coconut water. I wasn't certain from the description that I would like it, but it was delicious and refreshing.

BTW the video on the site has a brief pix of the drink (no comments) with jalapeño slices floating on it.

I had a chili-infused beer fairly recently. It's definitely a strange olfactory sensation at first, but I really liked the taste. Aggravatingly, I can't remember the name of the beer, but it was some sort of stout, and the deep, malty flavor really paired well with the spiciness of the chilis. Also, if anyone is ever passing through Asheville, NC, be sure to check out an Indian restaurant on Lexington avenue called Mela. They have an excellent chili-themed drink (not to mention a fantastic vegetable vindaloo) called the Kachumber Cooler that is a mix of Hendrick's gin, diced chilis, cucumber, mint, simple syrup, and club soda. Flavor-wise, there's a lot going on in the drink, but it's absolutely delicious!
