We call this stuff College Chili (though we had no ground turkey back then): a soupy hamburger stew with beans that was cheap and filling. This is chili like the blue box is mac 'n' cheese.

Judging from the ingredients of his family's chili recipe, it's obvious to me why the president is going to lose Texas.

It says turkey or beef so I'd take the beef. It sounds fine to me - especially if you are cooking for you, your wife, and 2 daughters.

Looks like a fine recipe, if a bit un-adventurous. It's very much like my standard no-frills chili.

Back to the recipe: IMHO that ain't chili, it's soup! Even a Louisiana girl recognizes that.

Came to this thread for chili talk, but it's getting too hot for me.

I'm new to this forum, and I wasn't trying to start a political debate or anything. I just thought Obama's chili recipe was hilariously bland and thought I'd share it. I'm kind of bummed that so many posts were flagged and removed - I am a Democrat myself, but I thought some of the chili-related topical humor from those of you who lean to further to the right was really funny and harmless! Ah, well...
