Actually, 224 is being assigned to non-cellular numbers, too.
Anyway, back on track, I think we should start the day at Edzo's with whoever wants to get there early starting at Bennison's, then end at Capt. Porky's. It will make for a shorter drive at the end of the night for our Wisconsin friends.
What time for Edzo's? 12? 1? Maybe 90 mins earlier for Bennison's? It is possible that they'd run out of a given item [*cough*maplebacondoughnuts*cough*] so earlier is better. Bennison's and Edzo's are walking distance from each other, so if the weather's nice, there's lots of shopping and stuff in between.
ETA: And just a heads up, the only real rule at Edzo's is that you don't claim a table until after you've placed your order. They take this rule very
seriously. I've been there when it's really busy and have always gotten a table by the time my food was ready, if not immediately after placing the order. There is a strong possibility that we may not all be able to sit at one table, but will have to be in small groups.
I have never experienced the owner, Eddie, to be anything but gracious and professional, but then, I've always followed the rule.
They offer two options- 8oz char-grilled or 4oz griddled burgers (you can double and triple the griddled ones). You can also upgrade the beef from standard (but great quality) ground beef to an organic and/or grass-fed beef. They usually have 2-3 different premium beefs to choose from for $2-$4 extra per 4oz. I have had both the standard and upgraded beef and can attest to the fact that they are both great tasting and do have distinctly different flavors. If you're sharing a couple different burgers, it may be worth getting one standard and one upgraded one to see the difference.
They have a bunch of french fries to choose from, too- regular, cheese, old (they've been kept in the fryer a little longer to achieve maximum brownness and crispiness), garlic, crazy (chili, cheese and onion), Buffalo, loaded (cheese, bacon, sour cream, green onion), Taylor Street fries (Italian Beef au jus, sweet and hot peppers), truffle salt and parmesan, and angry (spicy).
If you still have room after that, they have great hand-dipped shakes, and not just chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry- they have Nutella, peanut butter, Oreo, banana, coffee, maple and one or two daily special flavors, too. On the 26th, they had blackberry, but I'm not sure if that's still around.
