Cordele Recreation Parlor (The Pool Hall)

About 2 miles off of exit 101 on I-75 in Cordele Ga is a great place to get a dog. The Cordele Recreation Parlor also know as The Pool Hall had been cranking em out since 1939. It's basically a bar and poolroom that serves up chili dogs and scrambled dogs from 8 in the morning until 9 at night. There is a walk up window also that does a brisk business. The chili is meaty and isnt hot but has a nice spicy kick to it. It works best for me on the scrambled dog which is steamed dog in a bun covered with chili and beans,onions,oyster crackers ,and cheese sauce. A plate full for $4.50. A scrambled dog,chili dog and 2 cokes for less than $10. Not bad...

That Scrambled Dog works good for me!
Since they open at 8AM, throw some scrambled eggs under that chili and you have a breakfast made for a king (With a Hangover)!!

  Thanks for letting us know about the Cordele Recreation Parlor gastronomic offerings. I wish more folks from around the land would let us know about their regional favorites. 
 
  Now, if you could just find out what brand frank they use,  skinless or natural casing, whether it's beef, pork, or a combination thereof, plus tell us how it's prepared (griddle, boiled, fried, etc.), and I will be a happy camper.
