Killer Greek Pancake

Don't waste good syrup on another stack until you've tried the Greek Pancake at Ryan Michaels Riverfront Grille in Brick, New Jersey. It's a layered affair with granola, yoghurt, and mixed fruit dispersed between, around and above the dry, cake-like pastry. A real belt-buster that few will be able to consume at one sitting. In hindsight, it would have gone well with a tall glass of cranberry or grape juice, but not with a caffeinated beverage. Don't figure on a beach run afterwards, though I was able to make it out to the parking lot. Nothing eaten, nothing gained. Shep

Strange and (to me) funny thing: early in our relationship Mrs. Metro and I went - at her suggestion - to Knossos, a well-established Greek restaurant in Arlington, VA; sitting in a lovely outdoor space I reviewed the menu and told my love: " Honestly, I do not see even a single thing on this that interests me". We left. Yes, I'm a provincial a$$. That stipulated, I have in my Pittsburgh youth and NOVA adulthood had nothing but the most wonderful experiences with Greek restauranteurs who offered something other than their native cuisine; e.g., in my experience, they do everyday red sauce Italian better than most Italians! So, "Greek Pancakes" has my interest!

From the description the name Killer Greek Pancake seems apt. It would likely kill any Greek who ate it. I'm not Greek, but I'd rather die than have to eat such a concoction.
