Where to Eat: Virginia Beach

If you ever find yourself in Virginia Beach, you'll quickly see the restaurant options are plentiful.  That's probably because VB has a huge full time population, compared to other resort cities.

Thai - Bangkok Garden 
Sushi - Zushi

When I lived in Virginia we vacationed in your hometown a number of times and always enjoyed it and the Tidewater in general.  My two favorite restaurants (That Seafood Place and That Steak Place) are long gone now, but I'm glad to see that The Black Angus is still in business; we enjoyed that as well.
 
One vacation there I was engrossed in reading Clancy's Red Storm Rising and had reached a climactic point where  ... The Captain ordered the helm to turn the Nimitz into the wind ... when my wife told me it was time to leave and tour the harbor. 
 
When we arrived, the Nimitz and the Kennedy were docked together with the Wisconsin at their side.  WOW, goosebumps!

It's been quite a while since I was in Virginia Beach. We went to some small local places and ate great crab everywhere. Like you MPJim, we were in awe of the power of the Navy being corn bound flatlanders.  We saw one of the big carriers leave out for a tour and it was truly impressive plus seeing the copters that fly around the perimeter of the deck to make sure they don't crunch anyone. We were there during a festival and it was very cool to see fireworks over the ocean.
