I'm in the mood for a Boston Cooler...but it's very cold and I'm freezing. If you don't want to buy marshmallow vodka...both Monin & Torani make a toasted marshmallow syrup...to handle the task. Toasted marshmallow milkshakes are very popular...but vodka would be a nightmare because they include either sour cream or yogurt.

Hepcat CCinNJ A Boston Cooler is Vernors ginger ale + vanilla ice cream. When Vernor's is not available a less potent ginger ale can be accentuated with Canton ginger liqueur....for a Boston Canton Cooler I've seen the addition of vanilla vodka <<<shudder>>> but never Canton. It would be a winner. I'd stick with the top recipe. I love Vernors and I may make myself a Boston Cooler tonight! Put the Vernors in first and it will not foam up nearly as much as when added after the Ice Cream and wont go as flat...Russ

I have to make a NYCooler with grown-up soda (GuS) extra-dry ginger ale & a bonus Meyer Lemon something-or-other with ice cream. http://drinkgus.com/index.html Vernor's is very difficult to find here...and it's snowing. I'm sorry! I'm sorry!

GuS is very refreshing soda (to drink) and the subtle sweetness works well with ice cream. Only a dusting of snow. It will be 55 in a few days!
