She loved them. How can I ever make them again for her? I told her that she committed a sin. She told me that catsup was better than barbecue sauce.

Lisa... Mom probably bought Hunt's at The 99ยข Only Store. Bill... HAPPY BIRTHDAY! That is indeed a fine birthday present and you know I'll make those chops again for my mother. She also puts catsup on her eggs. She likes the stuff.

Ketchup on scrambled eggs is a good thing, not so much on lamb. That said, a garlic mustard crust on a rack is called for!

And that's just what I do. I can eat the entire rack. Four now and four in a couple of hours.

lleechef mar If she's using Hunt's you may as well make her a burger next time! My mom loved to grill steaks in the backyard when I was growing up. She was always pinching pennies and very often would buy a first cut chuck steak, cut it into pieces and tenderize it(don't ask how, I don't recall). I remember them being some of the tastiest steaks ever! After watching my Dad put ketchup on them once to often(she believed in just salt & pepper), she said to him "I might as well have made hamburgers for you to put ketchup on"! Well my dad said "that would be great"! So whenever we had steak for dinner my dad would totally enjoy his burger!

I am sure it was delicious, Mar. Mothers are like that. Mine always liked meat well done (like shoe leather). The first time I made a prime rib, I WAYYYY over cooked it. To me, it was inedible. My mother said it was the best prime rib she had ever had. She didn't even need ketchup!
