Roof mount AC unit VS. nice portable unit

I am getting very close to my power limits on my electrical equipment for my build. So...I am thinking of going with a nice 4 to 500 dollar portable ac unit that will cool a 150 to 225 square foot room that is virtually vapor less with no clean up @ 8000btu rated at 7.1 amps and 850 watts. vs roof mount 13500 btu rated at 13 to 16 amps and 1200 to 1500 watts.I also have 2 dc powered roof vents to install.Can someone tell me if this is an ok decision or a big mistake or some input to steer my decision. Thanks
