Just saw where one of my favorite authors passed. Vince Flynn, known for his Mitch Rapp series. I know chewy read him too.  Fair Winds and Following Seas Vince and Mitch.

Joe Soucheray's Garage Logic radio show on AM1500 in the Twin Cities routinely had Vince Flynn on especially when a new novel came out. They had a retrospective show today of highlights of his past interviews ending the show with his last visit and discussion of his prostate cancer. That was last fall. Vince sounded very upbeat in defeating it but his description of his battles (two years at that time) kind of belied his optimism. I had always made a point to tune in on those interviews and also John Sandford's interviews, another Twin Cities guy who writes the Prey series.
Sad he passed at age 47. RIP

I read every novel he wrote.  Mitch was one tough fictional character.

I also saw the move in February "Mitch Rapp".  A great move and intense action.

In an obit, read that he had received over 60 rejections for his first novel, so he just self-published it.
He gave me and several millions of others enjoyable, diverting, quick reads.
That he passes at 47 with a wife and still-young children is such a shame.
