    The experimenters forget one little detail: there is no such thing as spontaneous generation. Even back in the 18th century, scientist Lazzaro Spallanzani knew to set up controls in similar experiments.

      Thank you for that last paragraph in the article. I was about to give up on In and Out which happens to be my "go to" burger chain when I can't find a Five Guys". We don't have T.K. Burger here and I loathe all things CrackDonalds so I'm left with the In and Out Double Double with Onions. Now I can continue to scarf them down shamelessy with a clear conscience.
