They had more than a few listed that I've seen here in folks trip reports. Nice to see roadfood getting a shout out.

The history and decor of ye olde Union Oyster House are impressive but the food isn't that great.  I had fish and chips there once.....terrible.

          A horribly annoying slide show.
I endured it because it was pretty much right-on ... I've been to about 14 of the places, so it was a fun read.  I wish I was on the road as much as I used to be.

I'll comment on the places that I've been to.
voo doo donuts- good, but a little too "hipsterish" for me
boudin bakery- it's been 20 years- I forgot
ben's chili bowl - it was ok but I put it in the "one and done category"
              varsity- see "ben's chili bowl"
              Faidley- never again
Union Oyster House- I thought the baked beans here were better than Durgin Park- Couldnt' tell you about the rest of the food but I would go certainly back and try it
              Camp Washington Chili- A classic
Pat's- a sad tourist trap of a joke
Oklahoma Joe's- very impressed but not my favoite KC bbq joint
              Corky's- really?
Joe's Stone Crab- probably one of my favorite roadfood joints anywhere.
              Cafe Du Monde- overhyped
Katz's - not too shabby for a an ancient relic
              Primanti's- This place just sucks
