The return of "The Duque"!  Cool.  I'm sure my tastes have changed since I was 19, but I'll sure give it a try.  There are several mega-stores here in Dallas that "carry everything"; i'll ask.

On a related topic, I wonder how many here know that for its first few years Sam Adams was brewed by the Pittsburgh Brewing Company?

I agree with the poster, who said this has to be the worst of the "best of" lists EVER posted on roadfood!

This list is soooo sad. Not to come off as a craft beer snob…but it just is.

I have of late been very happy with Franzikahner. I can get it at Spec's or HEB  down here. I know it's not really exotic but Shiner has come out with a new beer named FM 966 for the road the brewery is located on.

While I love Ballantine...I would never rate it in the top 10 of the world. Lime cactus....must be peyote in it because someone is hallucinating.

During the 1950's Ballantine actually did produce a world class IPA, at their facility in New Jersey.  Not top ten, perhaps, but it might have made my top 25 list.  When they shifted production to a plant in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the quality dropped off, and production ceased around 1970, if I remember correctly.

From the list, the only one I'd consider trying is the Affligem Blonde. It sounds interesting and, for me, low on the bitterness scale. I did read they were bought out by Heineken, but I'll try it anyway and see how I like it.

discussion over.  Brewery was open 26 years when the Magna Carta was written. This is where German brewers send people to get trained  And it tastes great too!

I love their Wheat and Korbinian beers!                                                                    http://weihenstephaner.de/en/our-beers                                                                        Another great beer is:
