Who remembers them? Maybe a time for a comeback...any Spoolie stories out there?
We had a guy in our Grade School with real curley hair, he got the nicname Spoolie, yeah, he hated it, so we tortured him with it!

      You mean these?

      My hair already makes pin curls simply by existing. I cannot even conceive of trying to do it on purpose! My mother did have some, however...none of her four daughters got our hair from her side of the family. They didn't work for her.

        When I was young my hair would be wavy if I grew it out.  
        I realize now that it was waving "goodbye".

            I remember spoolies.  They didn't make my hair look good though, and I mostly wore it straight anyway.
