Finally, a great sauce for white meat! Tue, 11/12/13 5:01 PM (permalink)
The sales figures for Lea & Perrins' Worchestershire Sauce tell me that I am not alone in "saucing" my steaks.  For me, Worchestershire goes well with rib-eye; Lea & Perrins Steak Sauce with filet; A-1 on burgers; Heinz Ketchup & malt vinegar on fries, etc.

But, I had never found a sauce that goes well with white meat:  pork chops, pork loin, chicken breast.

Until now!

Sunday, Mrs. Metro and I drove down to Dallas to try out a new (for us) breakfast place:  Another Broken Egg Cafe, a chain out of Florida.  They had a bottle of their "Plantation Pepper Sauce" on every table and, as is my wont with every new sauce I encounter, I sampled a spoonful.

WOW!

It was love at first sip and my first thought was of how great it would be with a pork chop.  I bought a bottle for home use and have since tried it with pork loin and chicken breast.

Fantastic.

Anyone else ever tried this?
Seen it at a grocery?
Have another favorite sauce for white meat?
(FYI: It is a thick brown sauce with muted notes of both sweet and heat).

From the label, it is made and bottled by Endorphin Farms of St. Augustine, FL.

      That sounds real goo, too.

The sauce I recommend above is the first thing I've ever had that, instantly when it hit my tongue, I thought "pork chop".

I look forward to meeting you the next time we visit our place in McLean.

BTW:  when are we going to see a 'formal review' of Chubby's on Roadfood?

      (I think soon).

Oyster sauce goes great with roasted pork and mushrooms.

I never serve grilled pork without sauce Robert.  I love the mix of flavors.  For sautéed, poached or steamed chicken I often make a sauce Supreme.
