3-way Cincy Chip Throw-down Fri, 11/15/13 9:18 AM (permalink)
One of my co-workers has set up a 3-way BBQ chip throw-down for this afternoon between Cincinnati's heavy hitters, Grippo's and Husman's along with (sort of) nearby Dayton's venerable Mike-Sells, which I've never had.  We'll also be crowning North America's best tasting Coca-Cola, with HFCS US Coke going up against it's sugar-sweetened competition from north and south of the border.  My guess as to the winners - Grippo's and Mexi-Coke.

I wouldn't vote that way, myself. I have NEVER understood the attraction of Grippo's chips.

Which would get your vote?  Or is there another chip you prefer to those 3?

Gotta go with Grippo's BBQ.  That's a great chip.

OF the three, Mike Sells is the best chip, in my opinion. Husman's is a sentimental favorite, though.

            The tribe has spoken:
            1.  Mike-Sells and Canadian Coke
            2.  Grippo's and Mexican Coke
            3.  Husman's and US Coke

I think Mike-Sells won out because it was the middle ground between the rather bland Husman's and the somewhat over-the-top Grippo's.  As in past taste tests, the sugar-sweetened Coke was preferred over the HFCS.
