Sprecher's Arrived for the New Year Fri, 01/3/14 6:01 PM (permalink)
My kids brought me three cases of my favorite soda...Sprechers Cherry Cola.. over the holidays.  In addition to that great Cola, they included sample four-packs of-

Orange Creme soda
Puma cola (Vanila and ginseng)
HARD Root Beer  (interesting taste...not bad at all)
Bavarian Black Beer
Root Beer Bar B Que Sauce

All in all a nice variety of drinks to sample.

First taste is of Root Beer then the spicy BBQ creeps up on you. Not super spicy, but not a diluted soda sauce either.  Interesting variation...I tend to like sweeter suces.

What does "hard" mean, Mr. Mayor?

It has 5% alcohol, about the same as most mass-produced beers.

For those not familiar with Sprechers...Soda is a secondary product line for the Wisconsin-based beer brewery. They are known thru the Mid West for their better than average specialty beers. Sort of a Smaller version of a Sam Adams style brewery

Was surprised to see Sprechers soda at a Sheetz convenience store near here. Will have to try it out.
My kids once got me a 12 pack of Sundrop for Christmas. I thought it was the greatest soda when we traveled south. Now that it's available here I never get it.

Sprecher's Root Beer is outstanding! Use it to make a Black Cow.
