Graeter's 2014 Seasonal Flavor Calendar Tue, 01/7/14 2:45 PM (permalink)
I stopped by Graeter's today for a few cheese crowns and they had the refrigerator magnet of the 2014 Seasonal Flavors, so for those of you who would like to know:

Jan & Feb - Cherry Chip
Feb & Mar - Mint Cookies & Cream ( think girl scout cookies in graeter's ice cream)
Mar & Apr - Mystery Flavor
Apr & May - Orange & Cream
Apr, May & Jun - Strawberry Chip
May, Jun & Jul - Bonus Flavors
Jun, Jul & Aug - Summer Peach
Jul & Aug - Banananananana Chip
Aug & Sep - Elena's Blueberry Pie (which is now a year round flavor)
Sep, Oct & Nov - Pumpkin
Oct, Nov & Dec - Cinnamon
Nov & Dec - Peppermint Stick
Dec - Eggnog

So now you know so go ENJOY!!

I can definitely deal with orange cream for our April visit, but mystery flavor has me a little concerned.

I sure didn't like the Peppermint Stick. It reminded me of some sort of medicine. lleechef didn't care for it either, and she tossed it out yesterday.

I'm on board for Orange Cream AND Blueberry Pie!

Both are fantastic.  Orange Cream is like the creamsicles we ate as kids.  Blueberry Pie has whole blueberries and chunks of flaky pie crust.  How they keep it flaky in a frozen state is beyond me, but it sure is good!!!!

We tried several of these over the holidays,
Cinnamon was very mild, a good Vanilla with a tinge of cinnamon on the si9de
Cherry Chip was very sweet...think of the Cherry Cordial candy and you are close.
Peppermint Stick was better than the store-brand, but still had the Pepto-Bismo aftertaste.
Peach and Blueberry Pie are favorites of ours.
Both Mocha Chip and Toffee Chip are also very high on our list.

Pepto! Thanks Mr. Mayor. I couldn't quite put my finger on the taste.

When I was a kid, I loved Howard Johnson's peppermint stick on a sugar cone.  I have never tasted Pepto Bismol so I couldn't make a comparison.

I'll have to wait......just bought a pint of Hazelnut Truffle Gelato two days ago.  That will last me through March.

I found that peppermint flavored ice cream tastes of Pepto-Bismol. It's better to do a vanilla or white chocolate with crushed peppermint (usually candy canes). I add a little bit of spearmint extract to the base mixture in mine. I find that it adds the right minty coolness, without the Pepto aftertaste.

I finally got to try the blueberry pie ice cream. Went to a wedding in Columbus Ohio and the church was located in Westerville. On the back through, I spotted the store and told my wife to make the emergency stop. It was worth it. Fantastic.

Sorry Michael. I was unaware you lived in that area (not familiar with Gahanna). I had time to kill too. Actually shopped a little and bought my sister something from a hippy store. Lol.

Nah. Lunch is on me. Gahanna is between Westerville and I-70.
